The 1940 movie about Pinocchio is the animated story of a wooden puppet that is created by a lonely woodcarver named Gepetto. The story unfolds as Pinocchio turns into a real boy and leaves the home of Gepetto to find himself in the midst of adventures where his conscience, Jiminy Cricket, attempts to steer Pinocchio’s actions in the right direction. Most of the action shows Pinocchio unable to follow his conscience and, as a result, he finds himself in a lather of mayhem throughout the film. He finally learns his lesson and lives happily ever after as the real boy that Gepetto wished to have at the beginning of the film.
